Speakers and exhibitors will provide guidance and resources on job searching, retraining as well as resume writing, interviewing skills, and networking. In addition, the expo will have consultants offering advice on starting and growing small businesses and franchises, as well as gaining certification to do business with governmental agencies.

Alan Mendelsohn, a Florida lobbyist, ran a scheme in which he raised money through political contributions and lobbyist fees, then diverted that money to personal expenses while avoiding lobbying disclosure rules, says prosecutors. Mendelsohn pleaded not guilty yesterday.
